What’s wrong with Texas justice?

A cold-hearted subhuman sprays gunfire into a group of teenagers, paralyzes one who dies five years later, and does only 7 years. After prison he shoots 4 San Antonio police officers.

What’s wrong with Texas justice?

A man in prison for a rape he did not commit has his case taken to the Texas Criminal Appeals Court because of new evidence. Five judges agree that no jury would ever have convicted him if they had known about the new evidence. What’s wrong with Texas justice? A four-judge minority agrees that he should stay in prison anyway.

A drunk driver does some prison time, goes home to Fort Worth, and beats up his 76-pound, 79-year-old momma. He kills her. He cuts her body open and tries to eat her heart.

The judge pronounced sentence yesterday. The Momma-killing hearteater will be eligible for parole in 15 years.

That’s what’s wrong with Texas justice!
