What Smarmy Garcia lacks in honesty, he makes up for in contemptuous boldness. He’s mucho brazen.

Looks right into the camera and says he didn’t do anything wrong. Says he’s not really guilty of anything bad.

In front of the judge last Friday, David Garcia said he is guilty. Now he says he’s not.

Reminds me of an unfaithful-husband joke. Saturday afternoon, wife says she’s going shopping. Husband is home alone. He makes a phone call and his girlfriend sneaks over. They barely get bare when the front door opens and here comes the wife, who forgot something. Wife walks into the bedroom and there are the two of them. She screams, “What’s going on here?” Husband panics, decides to deny everything. He screams back, “This isn’t me!”

It isn’t him... and Garcia isn’t guilty. Put ’em in the Big Book of Bald-Faced Lies, along with I didn’t inhale, I invented the internet, and We don’t cook it ’til you order it.

So who’ll come up with the song about this? Maybe call it The Ballad of Smarmy Garcia. “I’m just a victim, Mama Mia! Poor, poor Smarmy Garcia.”
