Tonight’s important. Don't let our elected politicians sign us up for $40 car inspections.

Various city and county governments are hosting a brief meeting this evening about cleaning up our air.

A lot of them want to “volunteer” all of us to have to pay $40 for our car inspection sticker. It would cost that much because they want to test exhaust emissions. Find a polluting car, make the owner get it fixed before it can pass inspection. If people claim they can’t afford the repairs, money will be taken from the rest of us to fix their car.

The meeting to hear what YOU have to say about it is this evening from 6 to 7:30, at the Tesoro Building near Loop 410 and Nacogdoches. Some details and a map are on my website at bradmesser.com. Or call us at 599-5555 for time and address.

People need to fill up the meeting room. If we don’t, the politicians will know that voters are not gonna fight this, and we’ll be on the slippery slope toward $40 inspections.
