Defending Freedom

Just as President Bush keeps changing the reasons we're in Iraq, our Democrat state senators keep morphing their motivation for the quorum-busting walkouts.

First it was defending poor people and minorities from the redistricting boogyman. Then yesterday one of the senators got so carried away that she said the Dems had walked out, "to defend Freedom!"

To defend Freedom!

(hum America the Beautiful)

To defend Freedom! If the liberal senate faction keeps pumping up their supposed reasons for breaking legislative quorums, maybe the next-higher-up reason could be, "to keep Earth from falling out of orbit!"

Obviously the runaway senators got tired of defending the poor and minorities, and even defending Freedom, because they're back in Austin ready to do their elected jobs.

So now, and I hate to worry you, who will save Earth in its orbit!?!
