Why Build Near Aquifer?

Why would we want to offer tax incentives to attract new businesses to the North Side, right next to the Edwards Aquifer recharge zone?

Beats me. It isn't as though no one's building in the northern parts of the city and county, is it.

So why did the Bexar County Commissioners vote to allow tax abatements to encourage northside building, over the transition and contributing zones of our only water supply?

Beats me.

The San Antonio City Council will soon vote on the same issue. Then the city and county will meet to come up with a unified strategy on North Side tax abatements.

Does it make a lot of sense to encourage building near the aquifer recharge zone? The county thinks so. The city might.

I don't.
