Keepin' On

After yesterday morning's commentary there were remarks about my hoarse voice. What was said was accurate: it ain't worth a nickle right now.

But I am doing what every one of us does in real life: taking the bad with the good. Putting one foot in front of the other.

I have no reason to whine about my situation. I'm getting better, gradually, day by day. Eventually I will be back to normal. Which, for me, is abnormal— but you know what I mean.

Management here is sticking with me.

That's been consistent at KTSA since I came to work here – the first time – in 1979. KTSA people have always stood by one another. This is a cool place to work.

So I'm doing what we all do, when it ain't the best of times— Keepin' on by keeping on. I hope the people who say “that develops character” are right.

Brad Messer— commentary, KTSA.
