The China Surprise

We worry about war with China.

Here are a few reasons: 2,500 jet fighters. 14,000 tanks. 63 submarines. 470,000 Chinese airmen. 2-million in the Chinese Army. A huge military threat.

Maybe we should worry about something else: China has been sucking jobs out of the USA. IBM jobs, Intel and Hewlett-Packard jobs are being outsourced to China.

So another real threat from China – aside from tanks and artillery – is education. 40-million new Chinese college graduates enter the world job market every year. 40 million a year! The numbers are staggering.

So we are losing low-pay manufacturing jobs to China, AND we're losing professional white collar jobs, too.

It's the China Surprise. They're not making war, they're taking our jobs.

Who ever thought that's how China would get us?
