Hollywood Park Deer

Later this morning, a local federal court will consider what should happen to the unwanted Hollywood Park deer.

HP city leaders say there's serious overpopulation. They want to trap hundreds and send them away— some to new locations, the rest to slaughter.

People who feed their neighborhood whitetails, are head-butting citizens who appreciate deer, but want a whole lot fewer of them. HP has banned deer feeding: some people do it anyway. The wisdom of King Solomon would be helpful in this urban deer issue. That being absent, we make do with federal court.

The urban deer problem has disrupted a great number of otherwise-peaceful American communities. As far as I know, not a single one has found a solution that made everyone happy. You have that to look forward to, Hollywood Park.
