Kerry-Fonda Fake Photo

Now we start to see some increasingly interesting dirty politics against John Kerry. Another photo gallops across the internet, this one showing Jane Fonda making an anti-Vietnam war speech, with Kerry right beside her waiting to speak.

It's a powerful reason for those who hate Fonda for comforting that old enemy, to conveniently wrap the same disgust around war hero Kerry.

One minor problem. The photo is a fake.

But the tactic of linking Kerry with Fonda may turn out to be a terrific political weapon of mass destruction.

Former House speaker Newt Gingrich has started calling Kerry "a Jane Fonda antiwar liberal." That's an extraordinary dirty bomb. Wonder how long before someone drags out a theme song. I'd suggest George Jones and Tammy Wynette "Together Again." That'd work.

The Kerry-Fonda tactic may be so effective that it could even shock the growing A-B-B crowd, which is threatening to vote for Anybody But Bush. Linking Kerry and Fonda might just drive the ABBs back into the arms of the president.

As for doing it with faked photos, that's acceptable these days, isn't it.
