WAS NOT AIRED DUE TO LIVE COVERAGE

Condi's Day

Is this Condi stuff maybe blown out of proportion a few hundred percent?

You'd think Bush's re-election was riding on it.

Some people definitely think it is. USA Today, quote "When Condoleezza Rice faces the commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks today, President Bush's credibility in the war on terrorism — and perhaps his political future — will be at stake."

May be. Maybe not. Is it possible that, in the long run, people are going to decide that President Bush received all kinds of advice, made his own decision about who might be right, and happened to guess wrong?

If that's all that happened, voters can be forgiving people.

If that's what happened AND people in high places then lied about it time after time, and are now getting caught, then that candidate "A.B.B." starts looking good to a lot of folks— Anybody But Bush.

We may know which way the wind blows in the next couple of hours.
