River Parade Barges

There probably isn't a town in the country that isn't a little jealous of the San Antonio River Walk.

And every year our river parades are becoming more famous, and they are gradually getting prettier. Too bad it has to be so gradual, though.

Someday we'll have parade barges that are breathtaking, along the lines of the super floats in the Rose Parade. Smaller of course, but really inspiring. It'd be nice if it could happen sooner rather than later.

Maybe this year, maybe next, a barge will appear in a river parade and be so spectacular that it'll be in a class by itself. That'll be the beginning of a new age in parade barges, and we will have seen the last of the years when folding chairs and crepe paper were good enough for River Parade floats.
