Bubba's Book

Today a civilian space rocket will make history, but won't make as much news as Bubba's new book.

Terrorists will make news in Saudi Arabia and Iraq, but won't get near the coverage of Bubba's book.

Last evening Dan Rather gave Bill Clinton the whole hour of 60 Minutes. Thursday afternoon here, Carl will give Bubba an hour of KTSA airtime, because our owners at Viacom told us we have to.

So what's so hot about it? Newsweek got its mitts on an advance copy. The most interesting bit used by Newsweek was this. See how sensational and newsworthy it sounds to you. Quote:

"Clinton provides new details about a meeting, shortly before he left office, in which he advised incoming president George W. Bush what he believed Bush’s five biggest security problems would be, in order—naming Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda first and Iraq last. He told Bush his own failure to get bin Laden was "my biggest disappointment."

Wow. Breath-taking. Ain't it odd what sometimes passes itself off as news!
