What SAWS Needs

Blood runs again at our citizen-owned water company. Bosses of the San Antonio Water System have thrown another jefe out, and have hired our former city manager to run things until they can find yet another new "permanent" SAWS chief.

The temp jefe, Alex Briseño, is a respected, hard working, experienced administrator. He will face big issues at SAWS, such as finding new sources of water to supplement the Edwards Aquifer.

I don't care much about all that. I just hope he will fix it so that when you call SAWS, someone will answer the phone.

Everyone has a horror story about being on Hold for hours at the water company and then getting disconnected. There are people still on Hold right now, from the year 1953. Some have turned into mummies.

Mr. Briseño, get someone to answer the phones at SAWS!
