Too Close to Call

This is not fair. We shouldn't have to wake up, turn on the news, and STILL not know who won.

Yeah, I know, we DO know who almost certainly won-- but we still have to go through the technicalities and count some provisional votes and what-all. Officially it is described as "too close to call" which is a phrase I was sick of a few weeks ago.

I very much wanted this to be over. Waking up and hearing "too close" has caused me psychological damage. I am going to go back to bed, pull the covers over my head and escape into oblivion.

When it is finally final -- when you REALLY know for sure -- who won this thing, come over and tap me on the shoulder and I'll re-join the waking world.

Good night, again.

Followup:
At 10:12 a.m. Kerry called Bush to concede.
I got up.
