Wrong Wrong Wrong Bexar County's election went smoothly. Here and nationwide, the touch-screen voting machines worked. The thousands of lawyers didn't file thousands of lawsuits. We did know, without question, who won the election by the next morning. Provisional votes did not throw off the ballot count for days and days. The winner won by a clear, undeniable popular vote margin. In the general election of 2004, virtually everything we had worried about didn't happen. What we'd expected to be chaotic was wrong wrong wrong. Maybe next time I get worked up worrying about something that hasn't yet happened, I'll remember to cool it a little.
