Memories Fade

Doesn't it seem like weeks (or even months) ago that we were up to here in polls, projections and pundits?

They're suddenly gone. It's so nice to not hear one word about who's gonna win the presidential election.

When that pressure ended, the sky immediately turned blue. A pleasant, cool breeze came up. Stocks rose. Someone figured out how to make flu vaccine go twice as far. Everything got better right away. I forgot about it within hours. A full-press Memory Fade.

Makes me feel like a new person, full of energy and optimism.

I think maybe during the next presidential campaign of 2008 I'll go down into Natural Bridge Caverns and live there for a year with no outside contact. I know I'll become unusually pale, but it'll be worth it.
